To think many fell for the Captain Tom scam

I never understood all the fuss about Captain Tom. A rich old man walked around his garden and was lauded as a hero. Family then go on freebie holiday to Barbados whilst rest of us were locked down for Christmas. Then it turns out he was part of family scam to pay the family from book proceeds. No wonder so many people in this country are targeted by scammers, we are a gullible lot.

You have to separate the fund raising by Tom Moore and the foundation. The fund raising is not being questioned other than if the trustees of the foundation had acted differently, the NHS would have got more money. I’m interested to see what the CC finds though. It’s taking long enough to report!

I hate to say this but most complete arses posting really awful bigoted shit and showing a great deal of ignorance nearly always have 'veteran' in their profile- be it UK or US- it has absolutely made me feel intensely negative about many things to do with the forces and attitudes - it may be of course they are nothing of the sort

I avoid anything actively promoted by that smarmy, virtue signaller Dan Walker. He was all over CT like a rash. He has form for this sort of thing.
