…to think DH should know how old I am?!

Minfilia · 10/11/2023 20:35

Just that!

Together 15 years… and tonight he had to do the maths to work out my age.

I feel a little bit annoyed tbh! Surely it’s a really basic thing to know about your wife?!?!

My partner knows my date of birth because I was born a month before he was.

If he knows how old he is then he knows how old I am. Whether he remembers how old he is or not is another question.

Surely2023IsTheYearForMyRainbowBabyYeahRight · 10/11/2023 21:37

I had to ask my Mum how old I was, the other year

Chicheguevara · 10/11/2023 21:38

I know that DP is 2 years younger than I am. I still think that I am 29. My knees think that I am deluded. I forget my age on a daily basis and that’s fine. He works his age out by adding the age he was when his son was born to the current age of his son. That always makes me smile.

MrShady · 10/11/2023 21:47

My dad asked me what my TV PIN was
My birthday I said
He rings me back 5 mins later to ask when that is
I'm an only child...

I struggle with my own age sometimes!

me too! I have had to work it out from my date of birth before now - I think it is because I am in denial that I am not the 32 I still think I am.

LittleGreenDragons · 10/11/2023 23:11

My children have to tell me how old I am. I can't be bothered to work it out. If anybody asks I say I'm 25, despite having children older than that 😂

ssd · 10/11/2023 23:13

I really struggle to remember my correct age

BashfulClam · 10/11/2023 23:14

i once had to calculate my age with my phone calculator as I got really confused..my own age. Husband is almost exactly a year older (16 days difference) do as long as I know one of our ages I can work out the other. I couldn’t remember my mums age earlier despite celebrating her 70th in the summer.

I had an argument with DD the other day about how old I was. She was insisting I was 36. I was adamant I was 34. She was correct.

🤣

I just about remember my children’s ages tbh

Serious The Four GIF by Diddy

🤣🤣

This reminds me of all the times I’d use my friends phones in school when my mum had confiscated mine. I’d ask them what their pin was and they’d say their birthday. We’d be looking at each other like this😂

Yoloohno · 10/11/2023 23:20

I’m ok with ages but I struggled with my son’s middle name the other day.

considering I chose it and it’s a family name. I’m blaming the fact I’m menopausal.

Neverendingstory2 · 10/11/2023 23:26

I always forget how old my DD is. Once she turned 24 I couldn’t keep up with it.

Gro · 10/11/2023 23:27

I remember being 10 and my dad asking me how old he was. He had no idea, he needed to know for a form but he couldn't work it out. I was very confused I was 10 I knew I was 10 how could you not know your age?

I am definitely 37 or 38.

fridaynight1 · 10/11/2023 23:30

Nope. I always have to do a calculation whenever anyone asks me my age. When you get over a certain age it’s best not to know. Knowing anyone else’s age off the top of my head would be a miracle.

TheCatterall · 10/11/2023 23:38

Jesus.

I haven’t been able to remember my own age for 3 years. I know I’m definitely 50 next year though. That’s an easy number to recall.

i forgot our anniversary this year.

I forgot how many years we’ve been together.

luckily chap keeps track of it all….

will admit I know how old he is. 62.

63??

applepieandtea · 10/11/2023 23:44

I had to ring my aunty once because i forgot my own age.
(i was put on the spot could not think for the life of me)

I then went a year thinking i was 31 i was 32 it was on my 33rd birthday i realised id missed a year i am normal i swear😆.

ShineBright1209 · 10/11/2023 23:58

I remember being in a shop with my sister who was getting banners and balloons for her little girls birthday, she asked the shop assistant for everything with age 5 on it for me to look at her strange and remind her that her daughter was actually turning 6 that year 😂.

Topofthemountain · 11/11/2023 00:00

I can do the kid's ages until the first birthday comes along and messes up my system. 2 months later, I'm ok again.

Fionaville · 11/11/2023 00:03

Me and DH have been together 20+ years and we both have to do this sometimes with each others ages...and also our own on occasion. We're only in our 40s too 😅

caringcarer · 11/11/2023 00:18

I like to forget a few of my years.

fruitsalad87 · 11/11/2023 00:19

@LuckyOrMaybe so I WAS right xxx

Alalalalalongalalalalalonglonglilong · 11/11/2023 00:22

My sis asked me yesterday what age I was so she could do the maths and confirm her own age. And I hesitated.

Dhs work colleague asked me recently how many years we have been together or married and I didn't know. I remember the dates but just needed to so the sums.

Some people like me are terrible at this sort of thing.

My FIL once introduced DH, his son as the wrong name. Out of embarrassment Dh answered to the wrong name for a whole day of golf 😀

momtoboys · 11/11/2023 01:49

I realized a couple of weeks ago that my husband doesn't know my middle name! 🤣🤣

AlwaysAuntie · 11/11/2023 01:53

Was convinced it was my 44th birthday in July, turns out I'm actually 45. Can I blame it on perimenopause?
