I’m currently thinking of moving to live in Bognor Regis, but I don’t k ow much about the place.

Could anyone tell me if it is a nice place to live?

Or what it’s good and bad points are?

Thank you in advance.

I used to live there until five years ago and visit family there regularly.

Like any place, there is a not so nice bit but on the whole it's very pleasant. Lots of new housing being built between Chichester and Littlehampton though so the traffic can be awful.

It's a bit tired and run down these days

MindfullyAmazedHorse · 09/11/2023 23:23

Which is the not so nice bit?

Thank you!

Pagham is nice, but I don't like the main town area that much. Home to Butlins and a Chichester university campus

I've only visited in summer, not lived there but I like the sea front and Hotham Park and the high street.

The sea front area is fine. Aldwick is lovely and more expensive. The town centre isn’t a place I’d want to spend time in. Felpham, North Bersted, Rose Green and outlying villages are fine too.

The parts around Collyer Avenue aren't so nice. And, if you have DC, Felpham Community College has always had a better reputation than the Bognor School even though the Bognor School was rebuilt to try and improve it.

Aldwick, Felpham and Middleton are nice.

Hotham Park is lovely. Town is a bit rubbish, but I think that's the case all over the country.
Industrial estate is good, have a large Next, Matalan, B&M and M&S Food amongst others.

I used to live there and you couldn’t pay me to move back haha!

There is nothing to the town. It's lovely by the beach and down Pagham way but as far as amenities, culture and entertainment it is basically a non-starter. I would maybe consider Worthing instead. Much more going on and only 20 min train ride to Brighton.
