Guys I’m really hoping mumsnet can help with this. I’ve applied for a few jobs lately and Axel solutions have got in touch with me about a possible role.

But … I’m struggling researching the company and something just isn’t sitting right with me about them?

Has anyone heard of them? Google isn’t bringing up much for me

Did you ever find out about axel? I got a invite too and it seems a bit dodgy and hard to find on any social media.

Hi same here please let me know asap if you have any information!!!

Ok so back in January/February I saw a posting on indeed for a junior marketing programme in Belfast so I applied, and literally the next day I got an email saying that they were interested and that they wanted to invite me for an interview and that evening they had a zoom seminar with advice on the interview. So I joined the zoom seminar and it was first giving background to their company which immediately threw me a red flag as one of their main clients was apparently Verisure. This threw me because I actually work for a company that sells Verisure packages and we have always cried out that there’s very little marketing around Verisure so trying to pitch it was hard. So a marketing company that has done no marketing for one of their clients? Strange. The next part of the seminar was all about the different positions and programmes that they offer but they mainly focused on their sales department and how they offer so much progression etc. Nothing was mentioned about the role I had applied for so it all seemed a bit like smoke and mirrors. They talked a lot about all the team building they do and how they had recently been to South Africa or something like that, it all seemed a bit disjointed and rushed it came from one guy doing the seminar sat in a fancy suit but in a bit of a run down office. After the seminar a questionnaire opened up asking about your legal right to work in the Uk and one question on why you think you were fit for the role. I answered it and within 30 minutes I had an email asking me to join an interview the next morning at 8am. It just felt so off from the get go. I tried to research the company and found nada. A very dead LinkedIn with about 10 memebers in the company? No Facebook/instagram and not even on companies house? I find it strange of what appeared to be perhaps a start up company offering all these different roles and programmes, just didn’t seem legit. Not even a note of where their offices were in Belfast? Fair to say I declined the interview and left it at that but I do still wonder if it was a legit opportunity but it didn’t seem right to me either, hope that helps
