I am a member of Republic.
Republic are a pressure group that wants to see an end to the Monarchy.
The Monarchy is an institution in the UK.
I will try ti undermine it.

That makes me an extremist.

Revealed: plan to brand anyone ‘undermining’ UK as extremist | UK security and counter-terrorism | The Guardian

Government officials have drawn up deeply controversial proposals to broaden the definition of extremism to include anyone who “undermines” the country’s institutions and its values, according to documents seen by the Observer.

I think Suella Braverman is seriously undermining British values through her assault on freedom of expression and her utter lack of compassion towards vulnerable people such as the homeless.

Do I get to send her to Rwanda now?

Yes you do get to send her, can you pop her on the next plane please?

Here you all are worried about Nigel Farage.

Today, the Government announced that they would legislate so that the police can enter your house without a warrant.

Look out for yourselves, not the concerns of a man who is well capable of articulating his concerns.

You miss the point entirely.

We know about this for famous people.

When we say that this must never happen to anyone, we are looking out for ourselves as well as anyone else.

When you say you don’t care about powers being used against people you don’t like, you are not looking out for yourself. It could be your group next.

Absolutely we should also protest new police entry powers.

I didn't see where the article specifically mentioned the cause you support, or was it simply your interpretation?

Correct.

It said that an extremist is someone who seeks to undermine British Institutions.

I was giving an example of something that could be defined as extremism with this definition.

What did Rwanda do to deserve that?

You are speaking a great deal of very wise sense - it should be obvious, but sadly, the majority of people are blissfully unaware.

I am no fan of Farage at all, but I know that, if his (or any other celebrity's) human rights can be arbitrarily withdrawn as punishment for speaking out against the government, then so can yours and mine. And if it happens to us, we won't make the papers and our voices will not be listened to. Other ordinary folk won't know or care, because they personally happen not to have yet fallen foul of the state.

I can't stress enough that people need to look into the concept of social credit, look how it plays out currently in China, and then look for the signs of where it is already slowly inching its way into the UK.

So is Suella Braverman an extremist?
The police are an institution.
Her comments have undermined them.

Is she an extremist?
Does she need to be referred to Prevent?
