So hubby has changed jobs and now has a 45 min commute at 4.30am every morning. I mainly work remotely with site visits so location doesn't affect myself. We want to move to a bigger house, more rural, however cannot afford that in our area. However, if we moved near to hubby's work, we could get what we would like.
However, my eldest 7 year old boy is autistic (I'd say it's mild, it doesn't affect his schooling) however routines and change really upsets him. Our youngest is 3 so it wouldn't affect him. I've mentioned the idea of moving schools to him and he gets upset when I mention it.
He's doing so well at the little school he's at and they've made him so comfortable and he's become so confident. I don't like the thought of moving him, however it would make our lives much easier.
Also, our son is good at football, he loves it and plays 6 times a week. If we move, we would not only have to change schools, but change football teams and professional training.
Hubby and I both feel guilty for contemplating the move, but Its impossible to commute 45 mins to school there and back twice a day.
Am I unreasonable in contemplating us moving but disrupting our 7 year old?
Would we be better off just waiting until the boys finish school, but by that point moving will be trickier because of our age for mortgage etc.
