Does this sound like a sickness bug?

Dd 18 months was very whingey in bed last night. Irritable and kept crying sporadically. Then at about 3am she was sick and felt a bit hot. She went on to be sick a further two times and then finally slept soundly at about 4:30.
When she woke up at 8 she had a horrible, massive, loose nappy but since then she's been fine and in a great mood, even managed some toast.
I'm worried this might be a bug because I'm due to go away with work on Monday for a few days and I can't leave her or other dc if they are unwell or if I get it too Blush
Would a bug go on for longer than this? She is right as rain now. Pray for me!!

Yeah, could be a bug that's passed through quickly. Or it could have been something she had eaten.

It sounds exactly like when my son had a bug. I picked it up about 48 hours later and was more sick than he was but it only last 12 hours or so.

Oh gosh. I do hope not.
I'm being stringent with hand washing but she was in bed with me last night so if it's a bug I'll likely get it too.
She was at a play group yesterday morning so that e

Sorry pressed send to soon!

So that would stack up. However she was also sucking on a stick in our back yard briefly in the afternoon so maybe that had something gross on it.

Of all the illnesses, sick bugs are the ones I loathe the most.

Sounds like a sick bug - they are usually short lived and over within 12 hours! You might not get it, it's usually 50/50 chance in this house whether it gets passed on or not!

I should say that my DH didn't get it and we also saw family earlier on the day that I came down with it and nobody got it. I think I only picked it up because I was vomited over and my priority was comforting DS so I wasn't able to jump in the shower immediately.

I caught the first lot in my bare hands 🙈

Needless to say it was a tricky night! But this morning you'd never know anything was wrong, apart from being a bit tired she seems fine. I always thought bugs were a bit more prolonged but obviously I'm glad she's feeling better.

It's just the worry of it passing through urns rest of us now especially with my work commitments.

Sounds like a bug. DS2 (16 months) was sick a few times on Wednesday night. Grumpy on Thursday, fine of Friday. Last night DS1 (6) went down around 7 and DH and I went down around 11. Good luck!

Sounds like a bug. We've had bugs in the house where DDs and DH have been sick just once, but with a night or two in between each person so definitely a bug rather than something they ate.

But there's no guarantee you'll get it. I always dodge the vomiting bugs. And by Monday you'll be 48 hours past the last vomit/diarrhoea (provided she stays fine) so she's ok to go to childcare.

Yeah she'll be ok providing there are no more episodes, I'm more concerned that the other dc will get it and/or myself!
