A second parking and builders one

Inspired by another thread, I live on a dead end, with residents parking (visitors can have permits) and only a few houses have their own driveways. It's always a bit of a tussle finding a spot but usually okay.

A house is being renovated after long-time resident died. This house has no drive way. At first, the builders just tussled like us all for spaces.

Now, suddenly, cones and "proper-looking" signs (ie not bits of cardboard) have appeared blocking off say four spaces right outside this house. Signs say eg "do not obstruct or park in this area".

I'm fuming! Aibu to put all the cones on the pavement and just park my car there?

You would be unreasonable not to, frankly.

Assuming it's on a public highway and it's not allocated or a disabled parking spot, nobody has precedence over anyone else. Move the things and park there.

4 spaces seems excessive, however remember you may have a time where you need trades to come and do some work and they will need to park somewhere too.

They're cheeky fuckers!

Is it maybe for placement of a skip if they’re getting work done?
