To think this is a red flag?

I have a first date on Friday. He seems nice so far and have enjoyed speaking with him. However he sent me this message when I asked how he is getting to the station to meet me -

'My friends running me to the station. He's already got a double date planned out 🤦‍♀️ honest to god. Desperate for me to partner up 🤣 x'

It's put me right off. Sounds very desperate. AIBU and picky?

Not a red flag at all!
That is his friends idea, not his!

Twilight7777 · 31/10/2023 19:33

If anything makes him sound more genuine.

TheLightSideOfTheMoon · 31/10/2023 19:34

Not a red flag.

Exciteable and puppy like.

Hearmenow23 · 31/10/2023 19:34

Nothing wrong with that at all.

useitorlose · 31/10/2023 19:35

All it means is he's mentioned you to a friend who wants him to be happy. No harm in that.

FortheBeautyoftheEarth · 31/10/2023 19:35

No that wouldn't bother me at all, it's only a jokey comment about his friend. Doesn't mean he has his heart set on a double date.

EbesneezerCold · 31/10/2023 19:36

Not a red flag, he sounds quite sweet. He's choosing you over the insanity his friend is arranging

Icefoot · 31/10/2023 19:37

No, I think that's quite nice. He has a friend who cares about him and wants to do partnered up things with him and he's excited enough about meeting you to have told his friend about you.

Littlelucas · 31/10/2023 19:38

I think that's quite sweet!

What do you think is red flaggish about it OP?

justalittlesnoel · 31/10/2023 19:39

How is that a red flag?

He's excited about his date, has obviously mentioned this to his friend - who thinks it's got enough legs to make it to double date stage!
