I invited her dd round (with another girl) after school today about 2 weeks ago. DD has been to her house. I see her mother daily.

DD wanted to have a tea party. I have bought pizza, made chocolate cake etc.

Now she can have none of it

argh
ffs
I have no time to get to shops and get alternative she will just have to have beans on toast

Why didn't she tell me before

Tis a death by chocolate cake.

Ba boom.

miku · 10/03/2008 12:51

PLEASE have a food fight!

MamaG · 10/03/2008 12:55

When she arrives to collect DD, put the cake on your head and say "well, I wanted to find some use for it"

TheHonEnid · 10/03/2008 12:56

crumble it up very carefully and put it in the friends school bag

mawbroon · 10/03/2008 12:57

Freeze the cake for another time.

CountessDracula · 10/03/2008 13:04

ok
her mother has just called to say she will have to pick her up at 4.45
so problem solved!

You haven't thrown out the cake have you?

[snigger]

MamaG · 10/03/2008 13:12

if she collects DD, looks you in the eye and says coldly "aren't you going to stab me with your parmesan/chocolate cake" then you'll know

miku · 10/03/2008 13:17

lol!i was hoping that a lil bit of that cake would end up in her hair.....no chance now???

CountessDracula · 10/03/2008 13:20

i feel mean now as she is really lovely!
Another busy working mum so I guess I should be a bit more forgiving!

when she comes to collect her dd offer her some of the cake

she is prob as frazzled as the rest of us

Roca · 10/03/2008 13:30

CD - what are YOU having for dinner tonight?!

morningpaper · 10/03/2008 13:31

lol @ do an experiement

how VERY ANNOYING for you

'tis daft that she didn't mention it

an alarm goes off in my head if anyone invites DD to dinner - and that's just because she's FUSSY

enjoy the cake

MumRum · 10/03/2008 13:31

My Ds has a dairy allergy, can't believe the mother has just remembered to mention it...I tend not to sleep for several nights before ds goes to someones house for tea! I often end up buying the food for the parents to cook!
