Secondment

Not an aibu but posting for traffic as no responses in work topic. Looking for advice. I've been on an 18 month secondment within my L.A. It's due to finish middle of next month but no one has mentioned anything to me. I really want to stay in the seconded position so what do I do ? Do I pull up my big girl pants and speak to line manager or just keep going about my business ? I'm being asked about work/diary for January in this job.

You obviously have to speak to your line manager and tell them how much you would like to stay.

I cannot fathom why you have not already mentioned it, it is a complete no brainer. When you were given work for January why didn’t you say “remember my secondment is due to end next month”.

It's another team member who puts together our calendars (it's a training position) to then get the training advertised.
