I was about 7 years old. I was having swimming lessons and used to put my swimming costume on under my clothes to save time when we got there.

One time, I headed out of the changing room to the pool side and my mum was waving frantically at me from the balcony! I’d left my knickers on over my swimming costume!!!! 40 years on and I still cringe at the memory!

I was heavily pregnant with DS1, age 23 and had lost a lot of weight due to hyperemesis. I was carrying an armful of library books (this was 20 years ago) and was trying to run onto the platform to get my train and my maternity jeans fell down to my ankles and the train conductor had to hold my books whilst I pulled up my jeans. I will never, ever forget how it felt to pull up my jeans and the look on the conductors face.

I was coming down from the top deck of the bus and there used to be a pole , I stumbled, grabbed it and, I think, invented pole dancing!
In the Sixth form, very shy, I dropped a pen, bent down to pick it up and got my very long hair tangled round the button on the teacher's fastened jacket. I couldn't reach up to free my hair as my head was stuck somewhere near his 25 year old crotch and the 'helpful' comments from my fellow pupils didn't help. It took ages to free me, just as scissors were brought out.

Oh so many!
One that’s funny now is, in early 20s, changing after swimming in our town communal changing room, I tripped taking off my costume and landed half naked on the floor…. Had to quickly pull on clothes and try to make a swift exit!

The story about the buttonhole reminded me of when I was on a school ski trip. Not only did I ski into a male member of staff but I ended up in a very dodgy position underneath him!

I'm 59 and when I was 34 I was working in a restaurant. I waited on the tables but also did basic cooking like jacket spuds, cheese on toast etc. while the chefs did the actual cooking.

I had a man coming in who I'd never seen before, he asked for ',1 been on toast''. I replied ''yes, sir, would you like just the 1 bean or hundreds of them all at the same time?!''

I immediately realized what I'd said and was about to apologize when he burst into fits of laughter! He was a businessman who was on a lunch break, had just had ''a huge argument with my boss' and walked out leaving her to it so what I said to him made him really laugh and de-stressed!
