Do you want movies or TV series? All mine are on DVD, so don't know if they're available online, but I'd go for MASH, The Wrong Box, The Italian Job, Cold Comfort Farm, Auf Wiedersehen Pet, Due South, or Time Team off the top of my head.

I'm currently bingeing on Scandal - it's like 50 Shades but with Politics and lots and lots of murder 😁.

All tv series - warm, engaging, funny, feel good and not dark / difficult emotionally

Muststopeating · 29/10/2023 05:38

West Wing (the feel good moments give me shivers even when I'm rewatching for the third time)

Offspring (it make take a couple of episodes to get hooked, but this saved me when cluster feeding through the night with my 3rd)

Last Tango in Halifax (first season, gets a bit less chipper after that)

MonaDaVinci · 29/10/2023 05:39

Derry Girls if you need pee-your-pants comedy, with a serious background of the troubles.

Corner Gas if you have prime video.

storminabuttercup · 29/10/2023 07:17

My go to is darling buds of May. The best original not the new one.

Thisbig · 29/10/2023 07:24

Dinnerladies, Jam & Jerusalem (if you can find it!) and All Creatures Great and Small (new version, 3 full series plus the current one dropping week by week on My5).

Oldermum84 · 29/10/2023 07:28

Gone Fishing.

AlwaysFreezing · 29/10/2023 07:29

Jane the Virgin is a great shout. I'm so jealous of anyone who gets to watch it for the first time. Brilliant TV.

But surely it's Virgin River that you want. Fits the bill. Get lost in the stunning scenery. Don't question the time line too hard though!

Getmeoutofheere · 29/10/2023 09:41

Another vote for virgin river. Also bake off and celebrity race accross the world are just nice.

fleabag - not so much comfort tv but just brilliant the first time you watch it x

Chocolatefrenzy · 29/10/2023 10:07

Virgin river from me too, its on Netflix and I absolutely loved it.

CoffeeCantata · 29/10/2023 16:03

Father Ted
Motherland
Old dramas like Brideshead Revisited, Jewel in the Crown, Sherlock Holmes, Miss Marple, Poirot
Two Doors Down

I absolutely love The League of Gentlemen and Inside No. 9, but I don't think most people would think of these as 'feel good' TV!

Clarinet1 · 29/10/2023 16:14

Miranda - I’ve seen it all several times but it still makes me laugh!
