To switch off all notifications

On here, Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram… everywhere.

Makes for a happier life I think.

Is it rude? I genuinely don’t mind when people don’t reply to me, it makes me feel
better about my own ineptitude. I do try to reply promptly when I’m aware of a message but I hate pings.

The only notifications I get are from WhatsApp; the others are all off.

It’s nice; just need to remember to check them every now and then.

Thats my default. I pull my messages when I can .

fingerguns · 28/10/2023 20:40

I've turned them all off except banking apps. It's brilliant.

I do not get notifications from anything. I am sensible and grown up enough to check e-mail regularly and, quite frankly, I am not interested in the rest.
I do get a sound notification from WhatsApp, but often I don't hear it.
I was born in 1958, you can survive very well without all the notification drama :-)

I got rid of all social media months ago. Best thing I ever did. All those notifications going off all the time. Three months down and don’t miss it at all.

All notifications silenced , the only people I want to hear from are DH , and he lives with me and the 2 grown up,DC who use FaceTime and the occasional iMessage ( and they know what I’m like , so message DH and he tells me to look at my messages ! )
