New director not engaging with me

There's been a recent change at my company. We have a new regional director.

I've known him for quite a few years from previous roles. We have always had a good working relationship.

He's always been my manager's manager. When he first started, I was really excited to get extra advice and guidance from him as my direct manager was a bit hands off at the time and we needed someone to give a bit more direction.

I made a few attempts at having chats with him and asked for some advice on a few things. I felt like he was getting very busy with onboarding so I cooled it for a while and stopped reaching out. New director then appointed a new direct manager for my team and I've just been trying to get to know my new manager for now.

I've noticed he's super involved with other colleagues on my direct level, just not with me.

Once a week we have to present an update to the entire management group, plus a few other key stakeholders. Everyone chips in with advice on how to progress projects and gives suggestions, sometimes it can get a bit tense too. Whenever it's my turn to speak , he ignores me completely and just looks down at his laptop the entire time and doesn't say a word. Whereas when my colleagues present their projects, he is really engaged with them and gives advice and asks questions on their projects etc.

It's happened three weeks in a row now and today it felt awkward because I think it's becoming apparent to others as well and it's just a bit weird. It makes me think he either thinks my projects are just rubbish and not worth talking about, or he thinks I'm rubbish.

He's also loooked at my LinkedIn profile a few times and I've noticed our CEO has also looked at my profile, as well as other people in the company during a resent board meeting. I don't know what to make of it really.

I work in a sales team and I've been at the company a few months, so I'm still ramping up. I am the newest member of the team.

I'm not particularly behind my colleagues. We are all finding things challenging at the moment but are working hard to deliver. I can't help but feel they think I'm rubbish somehow and keep checking my LinkedIn to double check my credentials or something.

Am I paranoid ?
