If it's sold out, I'd say unlikely.

During the week, in term time you're fine. Saturday in the school holidays....different story.

But you never know!

SweeetFemaleAttitude · 27/10/2023 20:55

I wouldn’t try it

cheeseandcrackers · 27/10/2023 21:17

I was there yesterday. I walked straight in with a booked ticket, there was an absolutely ridiculous queue for those without, would expect ro have to wait at least 2 hrs, possibly more, plus the Titanosaur and other paid exhibits have been all sold out too. I'd book online now for another day and go then instead. Science museum was much quieter though.

Was that at 10am?

We don't want the exhibits, we want space and volcanoes!

How about the Science museum instead (great space exhibits)? Or Royal Observatory?

mrsanflowerpot · 27/10/2023 21:25

We arrived at 11am on Thursday and were inside in about 40 mins without tickets

sashagabadon · 27/10/2023 21:26

Try the entrance by the science museum rather than main ent. It is often quieter but will still be a queue. It goes straight into the volcano / earth bit

Pinkandpurpleheather · 27/10/2023 21:27

If you’re really desperate you can sign up for membership on the spot and then they let you skip the queue? (And skip the queue/ have free entry for the exhibitions/ get use of the members’ room for a year). Depends on how much you want to go and what finances are like. They have a good members’ discount in the shop too! (20% I think). From - a loyal NHM member!

Is that the accessibility entrance? Is that allowed?

Yes - it's a normal entrance, can sometimes have a shorter queue than the main entrance.

sashagabadon · 27/10/2023 21:57

Yes I used to go in that entrance whenever I went. It’s less well known so a bit less busy
