To get a Hollywood 6 months postpartum?

A Hollywood wax is just a personal preference (way way before I met DH too) as I know there can be strong opinions about it on here.

But my question is, is it ok to get a Hollywood 6 months postpartum following an episiotomy and tearing? I assumed it was ok and can't stand being so fuzzy anymore so just impulse booked one for an hour's time. And it dawned on me that it might not be ok! I had a Google and it says to wait at least 6 months. I'm now terrified the scenes at the salon is going to resemble something a bit bloody!

Is it ok to get a wax 6 months postpartum?

Thank you x

Think it depends on how you've healed and what the scar tissue is like?

The doctors had said it healed well and scar tissue looks good... Oh gosh I'm so nervous now

Could you get something less extreme than Hollywood? Leave the bit around your scar? I had waxes over my c section scar but I think it was about a year

I had Hollywood waxes at 6 weeks pp after both babies

I had a c-section and started having waves again about four months post partum, I think. If your stitches have healed well then it should be fine!

Holy fock! I didn't realise it would take that long 😭 argh. Even worse, I haven't even looked down there because I just don't want to know, so I don't even know where it really is

I would go for it.

Nothing like a full wax for getting that fresh feeling.
