Decongestant tablets

Does anyone else feel weird after taking décongestion tablets? Struggling with a cold and took a couple of boots décongestion tablets this morning. By accident I took 2 instead of 1, haven’t taken any other medication and won’t be taking anymore of these. I’m a bit worried I’ve taken the 2 as it’s made me feel weird just blocked ears and a bit spaced out. Has anyone else found this? Is it because I should’ve only taken 1? Should it wear off soon?!

Decongestants and antihistamine both knock me out… check in case it’s a night table as some cold and flu have 6 daytime tablets and two night time ones

Yes I find the same. Weird and jittery for a couple of hours. I use xylometazoline nasal spray instead - very sparingly.

I guess I just need to let it wear off? It’s seemed to have cleared my sinuses a bit which is great but now I’m left feeling strange, I wish I’d not taken them!

The active ingredient in most decongestants is pseudoephedrine which is a stimulant so yes taking too much of it might make you feel a bit odd. I avoid them altogether as I have a thyroid condition and decongestants can cause issues.

I use plain salt water spray if I need to.
