Ticketmaster is the absolute pits

Ticketmaster, huge company, sell hundreds of millions of tickets every year, and yet they don’t provide any telephone number or email address for any of these hundreds of millions customers to speak to them? They have a monopoly so they can do what they like, which is apparently offer a useless chatbot.

AIBU to wonder who ticketmaster is accountable to and how it can be that I have literally no way of speaking to a human being at this massive multinational that I’ve bought a product from that I have an issue with? And on top of their issues with pricing, reselling, queuing and horrible purchasing processes, they seem to be absolutely shameless and yet who is there to restrain them?

I absolutely hate them. There are hate groups on Facebook too.

They apparently have 70% of the market so they are difficult to avoid but I know after this recent experience I would rather not go to a concert than use them again. I’m just astonished/ horrified that they have been allowed to gain such power, through their merger with live nation, and the secondary market sellers they own, that they can(and do) whatever they want when it comes to pricing, selling, reselling, customer service and there doesn’t seem to be damn thing that can be done about it.

I personally think they are great, I get all my tickets through them, when I want to resell its so easy. What's the problem you're having?

Dh and I were given a £200 voucher to use but then Covid struck so they expired before we could use them. They were only valid for a year. I couldn’t get hold of anyone to ask if we could get them extended.
Why do they have to be valid for only a year? I don’t understand why there needs to be an end date at all.
Anyway, based on that alone I think they’re a shower of shit and haven’t used them since then!

I was locked out of my account I had 2 my own fault but anyway it was a total arse ache I eventually had to email them but .you have to go through their Contact us page. I don't know why they make it so difficult to get anything sorted it was a hoha to access my tickets.

You are not wrong! Ticketmaster are vile and customer service is non-existent. They need to be broken up and competition introduced to the market, it’s the only way to protect customers.

I had to get someone else to buy tickets recently because I had ticketmaster trauma from the hoha I was sweating in case something went wrong .

I would add car parks as well. Ridiculous prices that you have to pay through an app which sometimes doesn’t work and no way to speak to anyone if you get a fine.
Hate hate hate this sort of technology grrrrr !

totally agree!!! It doesn’t seem to really be on the radar though frustratingly

It’s not really about the problem it’s about the fact that it’s quite literally impossible to speak to someone to get advice or a resolution. That’s appalling customer service. But they don’t heed to worry, because they’ve created themselves an essentially untouchable opinion.
