Car Park Space

I went shopping today. It’s half term so very busy!

I thought ooh that’s lucky last child and parent space. anyway the car a little in front pulls and she had no children with her!

I find a space pull up and I can’t get my LO out the car. I’ve got a travel system, LO is only a few months so their seat clicks onto the pram.

So… I very childishly go round and park behind the person who parked in child space. Ultimately blocking her in.

When I return just short of an hour later, to say she was raging was an understatement. I loaded shopping and LO into the car without saying a word. I was called a bich, cut. Before I left I said to her, you say you were just popping in for one thing, so it was quicker for you to park here, you’d been gone 15 minutes by the time I’d parked and left, so that’s not a quick stop and I couldn’t go in at all because you took a spot I needed.

Anyway, no idea how long she was waiting for me, I’m quite surprised she didn’t phone the vet police! I know I was being unreasonable and very childish but please think before you park in a space others may genuinely need!

Ok. Why wouldn’t you just get a blue badge?

Because the criteria in a lot of areas are incredibly tight. I looked into trying to get one when I was on a zimmer frame for 6 months, but I didn't qualify.

You don’t need a big space with children. Just go to the back of the car park where there are lots of empty spaces.

Disabled people will always trump children.

Have you ever tried to get a baby or toddler out of a car seat? Or get one into a pram then get another out of the car? When there’s no room to get a pram down the side of the car?
The car park I use most is always chocker, there’s not lots of empty spaces.

Be hilarious when I out-cunted you and phoned the police and reported you for disability hate crime wouldn't it. And believe me, I fucking would. I have had it with entitled twats who don't understand the law and I am beyond the point of letting myself be bullied.

Someone doing something you don't like is not a disability hate crime. It's rather concerning you think that it is. The "out-cunt" comment was made regarding someone without disabilities parking across two spaces.

So, yes it would be hilarious if you phoned the police to report that as a disability hate crime. The police would definitely think so.

This thread is clearly triggering to you and you're making some very bizarre statements. I think it's best if you hide it.

@thermalvestwearer calm down! Myself and the person I was replying to didn’t even mention disability - you did.

The person whose space I parked behind was not disabled. I’m sure she would have mentioned this while screaming at me.

I'm not sure why this poster has equated parking next to someone who has parked across two spaces as a disability hate crime. It's abhorrent as that sort of behaviour makes it harder for those who genuinely have been victim of a disability hate crime.

I just don’t have the words to tell you how boring and tedious these mother and child parking threads are. They’ve been done to death and I very much doubt yours even happened.

Mydogmybestfriend · 27/10/2023 22:44

I get why you did it and she shouldn't have parked there but I'm more glad your car was fine or she didn't assault you, people are crazy these days

lightinthebox · 28/10/2023 09:38

A. This never happened

B. Every Mum likes to act like no one else has ever had a child so they’re special and need special treatment

Its pathetic.

Did yi aye?

What do you think someone’s motivation would be to make something like this up though? Why would they do that?

Needs diagram and, if course, photos.
