Help - car hire Mallorca without credit card

Hi, I booked a hire car but the documents say I need a credit card. I spoke to the online chat and it said I have to have a credit card. Do any accept debit cards? We are going tomorrow!
The resort is miles from the airport and we are arriving at night so no public transport. I am sooooo upset/annoyed 😞

Oh no! I've found they sometimes accept debit cards but it's a massive risk so not sure what the answer is.

I've hired in Spain many times they just freeze money on your debit card. €1200 if I remember correctly doesn't matter if you give them credit or debit just make sure you have enough money there.

Just read terms and conditions on the rental company website
