Actually I don't think I am but can we stop all the Cod challenge threads now. No one can tell who is for real and who isn't and it is such a waste of time replying to threads that aren't real

Thank you.

Ah Quint I'm sorry that happened to you and made you feel bad - that's not what I was aware of happening at all, just writing silly poems and making silly jokes and flashing that Bat, not threads likely to be emotive or personal at all. Also not at all aware of people being 'in' on stuff and bait and things, I really don't think it's been an organised and nasty cliquey thing - but if that's your experience of it then that's a shame and not nice.

ShinyHappyPeopleHoldingHands · 09/03/2008 20:59

QS you're never a silly cow.

"Joke" threads about sad subjects are not jokes. Simple as really. You need to be able to laugh at a joke.

OMG if I wasn't paranoid before then I am now!

Lulumama · 09/03/2008 21:07

what do you mean, wats?

Scattybird · 09/03/2008 21:11

For goodness sakes Girls. We are online. Anyone can read this even your husbands!

Who cares if you gave Maureen advice on how to colour her pubic hair green! I bet Maureens hubby is just puking right now at the thought of Leek & potato Soup EVER AGAIN.

sorry to hear that wats.

i think school girl games do not belong on a parenting forum for support. bit of fun is fine, but a week long challenge that incites trolling and getting deleted , well, the humour and value sort of passes me by

have been on the receiveing end of nastiness about the teashop and bar on too many occasions

Its like being back in the playground and realising that actually, the popular kids didnt really want you to play, they just invited you over to stick a sign on your back.

I dont care who started it, or who joined in, I think its cruel. These are real people being made to look like twats for others amusement.

scottishmummy · 09/03/2008 21:31

yes purposefully duping other mums for your amusement pseudo-gamesmanship is unkind

Emprexia · 09/03/2008 21:32

Well said Scruffyteddy

JossStick · 09/03/2008 21:34

Here Fucking Here!

MoreSpamThanGlam · 09/03/2008 21:36

I am fed up with this too, but have to admit that the bat makes me giggle like a school girl every time I see it. Its stupid and childish and I love it.

My mate had trip trap written on one of her posts - gave me the right bollock ache.

ahundredtimes · 09/03/2008 21:37

So which ones haven't been real? Other than Shiny's VB thread which made me ROFL especially all the talk of documentation and functions.

Maidamess · 09/03/2008 21:39

Scruffyted I agree with you which is why I hid it early and stayed away for a bit...no signs on my back!

ahundredtimes · 09/03/2008 21:39

Which threads? Come on TELL ME.

ShinyHappyPeopleHoldingHands · 09/03/2008 21:40

But who are the "popular kids"??! People are only what you label them as.. this is an internet forum.. you are what you post and that's that.

People being labelled "the popular kids" or "the clique" seem to have no say in the matter.

The Challenge was just a bit of fun, I feel sure of that! What a mimority of people chose to do to be involved in it, was not all fun.. ie (specifically) fakes threads about distressing subject matter.

What has that got to do with people being percieved as the "popular kids"?

I do see what these latter posts are saying.. but it all comes across as a bit over the top to be honest. We are grown women who are allowed to be a bit silly sometimes for relaxtion purposes. The majority are not purposefully unkind.

Maidamess · 09/03/2008 21:40

How do we know which ones havent been real?

ahundredtimes · 09/03/2008 21:41

I will be purposefully unkind if someone doesn't cough up on which were the Challenge threads.

blueshoes · 09/03/2008 21:42

100X: this one on smacking

fym · 09/03/2008 21:42

this has made me really fed up . I have decided not to participate in any more discussions apart from keeping up with my temping buddies...

if people are going to play games they can do it on their own and not waste other peoples time.

Funny is fine. Making stuff up for the sake of it isn;t.
