Can anyone recommend one? We’ve only just moved here and now immediately have to apply for our DC. Interested particularly in views on CNS, Jane Austen, Hethersett and Notre Dame. Help!

Around Norwich I would recommend Notre Dame , Jane Austen, Wymondham High and Wymondham College. WC would be my first choice but it is very hard to meet the selection criteria as it also a boarding school and day places are limited . Hethersett High is fine but would choose the others above in preference.

Notre Dame is Catholic and has fairly strict entrance criteria.
Jane Austen specialises in English so it depends whether that will suit your DC?
Out of those choices I'd probably go Jane Austen, but others may have a different view.

From what I hear, CNS is weakest, Hethersett is 2nd weakest in that group but not bad. Thorpe was considered great for a while.

Have you had a chance to look around the schools, and which is your closest one? I have just been choosing between these exact four myself this week, so pm me if you'd like more information.

We are Hethersett and CNS. Hethersett gets great results but I’ve heard Notre Dame is ‘kinder’

My daughter started at Jane Austen in the sixth form in September. So far it seems very good.

I went to CNS (29 so good few years ago now) and absolutely loved it. My neighbour teaches there too and only has good things to say. It was also just recently named Secondary School of the Year in the Norfolk Education awards.
