To think its disgusting that dh used my towel

Bought myself a new bath towel recently, a lovely pink fluffy thing, a treat just for me. Dh used it this morning, stuffed it into the wash basket, and went off on his way. So I took it out to get it straight in the washing machine only to find he'd really given himself a good scrub and left the evidence behind 😠Anger level 1-10?

Absolutely disturbing and disgusting

Where I come from, people have their own personal towel😁

Me too 😀 When I was growing up, we all had our own towels. None of us were dirty but it was just what you did. I’ve continued it with my family. I like it actually.

But in this shitty case, I’d not only insist on separate towels but separate lives 🤢 🤮

LogicVoid · 24/10/2023 11:37

'He does the same with his own towel. I don't do his washing anymore. And there is certainly no sex.'

It was deliberate. Do you have an exit plan?

I would agree with you!

WinkyTinky · 24/10/2023 11:39

@Wonkasworld I bloody loved that towel. The last time I bought towels was in 2005 when I moved into my first flat and I've made do with worn out torn bits of shred for years. This was my bloody special towel! You're right, I won't be wanting to snuggle into it again.

And in reply to everyone else, I am on my way out of this relationship, don't worry.

IMO you are BU. To put it bluntly you have sex with this man. Why would using your towel, which you can wash, be an issue?

This. Get a grip and some perspective

YourWinter · 24/10/2023 11:40

You get up close and personal with a dirty pig who can’t be bothered to properly wipe his backside? You clearly have bigger problems to address than a towel that he has soiled, regardless of whose towel. That’s just disgusting.

ScruffMuffin · 24/10/2023 11:41

Buy yourself another towel and put it where he won't find it. The PP's suggestion of shit coloured towels for his exclusive use is a good one too. Glad to hear you are planning to extricate yourself from this animal.

CurlewKate · 24/10/2023 11:44

Doesn't matter which towel he left shit on-he left shit on a towel. Which is beyond disgusting and my standards are low!

Bloom15 · 24/10/2023 11:45

MrsSkylerWhite · 24/10/2023 11:14

Oh it’s poo. I thought giving himself a good scrub was a euphemism 🤣 Ignore me and my warped mind.

Yes, a shitty towel isn’t nice.

I would prefer that over shit.

That is disgusting.

Why are you still with him OP? The relationship sounds dead regardless of this issue

Bloom15 · 24/10/2023 11:46

Meeting · 24/10/2023 11:27

Do people actually have designated towels? We just grab one before we go in the shower and put it in the washing basket after. I would find it really annoying to have to use a specific towel.

So do we but then me, DH and DS have never had shit on our towels because we can wipe and/or wash our bums

GoingDownLikeBHS · 24/10/2023 11:46

Obviously OP as you are a woman you should buy him a nice towel and do all his washing, goes without saying (although some posters have to say it).

Very glad to hear you are planning to LTB, crack on with that (no pun intended).

SeatonCarew · 24/10/2023 11:47

Surely the time he should be cleaning his backside is at the time of delivery of the aforesaid stool. not waiting till the next time he gets in the shower?

LTB. Put the grounds for separating in the divorce petition. You don't have to nowadays, but do it anyway.

Gross.

FatherJackHackettsUnderpantsHamper · 24/10/2023 11:48

Have you had sex with him?

Bit of a mess on a towel seems trivial in comparison

I don't think most couples expect smeared faeces in the aftermath to be a normal part of a regular sex session, do they?!

WaltzingWaters · 24/10/2023 11:49

StoneColdAlibi · 24/10/2023 10:53

Yeah the problem isn't using your towel per se, its that he can't wipe his arse and thinks a towel is a reasonable substitute. Grim.

This. The problem here isn’t the towel. It’s that he hasn’t learnt a skill he should have learnt when he was a toddler!
utterly grim.

Sweetpeasaremadeforbees · 24/10/2023 11:49

Sounds like he’s asserting dominance. I recommend pissing in his sock drawer.

😂😂

On the off chance that this is a genuine thread I like this advice.

SplendidUtterly · 24/10/2023 11:49

I spat my tea out at that 😂

FatherJackHackettsUnderpantsHamper · 24/10/2023 11:49

Yes - it's postage and packing; both are important Grin

MontyJames · 24/10/2023 11:49

My son did this when he was a grotty teen with my new fluffy bath towel. Used it to clean up a Pot Noodle he had spilled on the floor of his bedroom. Just left it there until the towel actually stuck to the noodles. Disgusting ...

NettleTea · 24/10/2023 11:50

thats disgusting. But Im sure Ive read somewhere that there are certain men who think touching their own arse - like even to wipe after a crap - somehow makes them gay. I wonder if he falls into this revolting territory

Just because I have sex with my husband doesn't mean I should be left with a wet towel because he had a shower first 😂

Use your own towel, it's basic manners towards anyone in the house, kids included.

Haffiana · 24/10/2023 11:55

Is this why MNers wash their towels after only one use? Because they are too skanky to actually wash themselves properly?
