Noise when driving

Hello,

I was driving home - during the terrible weather on Friday - as I was following a car (passed a group of parked cars on the street), I heard a noise coming from the passenger side. Car recently had welding done underneath and the weather was terrible. I checked my mirrors and all seemed okay. I checked my car when home - again, no damage. I have reported the incident to 101 in case anything did happen. Partner said I have overreacted, I chatted to the online chat last night and they said not to worry and that I have a reference number. Do you think they will contact me again? Have I overreacted? I have anxiety (if you couldn't tell!)

Are you saying you think you hit something on your passenger side? What kind of noise was it? Usually when you hit a wing mirror or something it's a massive bang and you'll know you've done it.

What do you think happened? Di you think you scraped the parked cars?

I can't believe your first thought was to call the police rather than car trouble! Unless you know deep down you hit something.

Someone has hit my wing mirror before and didn't sound like that, it sounded like something in the road but my anxiety is through the roof and I know it shouldn't be!
