Another week of school holidays looming and my main problem is that I have a 2 year old and a 12 year old so it's really difficult finding things to do that suit them both. Toddler will be in nursery for one day but otherwise I have them both on my own all week.

Ideas on what to do please!!!!

Wildlife park, theme parks or science museums often have things for kids of varying ages. Movie day. Crafts (lots of cheap, simple Halloween/auntum craft ideas online). Baking. Going on a long walk.

Pumpkin picking/carving
baking
cinema
museums
National trust visit (lots have Halloween stuff going on)

I was thinking a day of pumpkin carving and Halloween crafts.

But truthfully I find it easier to be outside especially with the toddler. She is a whirl wind and is better when she can run off some energy.

I have two younger DSs (3 and 6) and my DD is 12 so have similar issues in finding activities for all of them. Went to see Trolls today which they all loved, going bouldering tomorrow and then a trampoline park on another day. They'd all be happy with seeing animals or a pumpkin trail. Could the 12 year old not have a friend over/visit a friend?

Why do you have to do anything? Can the 12 y old not simply enjoy a week off to rest and play? If you want to entertain your 2 y old, like at the park or something, then can't your eldest have the choice to either go with you or stay home for a bit?

Left to his own devices he will just want to be on a console or phone all week which isn't good.
