I’m awake this time on a Sunday because…

…DH woke me up at 6:30am, boiling the kettle. He also woke 3 x young DC up.

Who is BU?

He’s always been an early riser. But the kettle is so loud it wakes the whole house up. Why does he need a coffee at 6:30am?!

I'm just an early riser. I go to bed around 10pm.

Here is the really annoying bit (for me!) my DC have been waking up so early recently (5:30-6am!) so the fact that they, and me, were still asleep at 6:30 was a miracle and we all could’ve really done with at least sleeping until 7am (DC have a gro clock and 7am is when the sun comes up anyway).

So couldn’t he have waited half hour?!

Take your points about the loud kettle, we are probably light sleepers as well.

my husband left his phone in the baby's room last night, forgot to turn his work alarm off, and the inevitable happened 🙃 it's my day to get up with the baby so here we are!

i get up at 6 in the week and cannot help waking up at the weekend.

Baby woke up at 4.30am, fed her, everytime I took the boob away she woke up. She finally fell asleep at 6.30 🤓

Just get a quieter kettle. We bought ours relatively cheaply from Dunelm and it's loads quieter than my mum's who bought hers maybe 5 years ago.

I've been up since 4am because youngest is poorly. How loud is your kettle? Do you have one that whistles?

I was awake (at 5.40 am) because yesterday I fell for a (minor) scam on FB and caused my DH hours of work trying to sort it out. I am worried about the implications and also that I am losing my marbles because I did something that I NEVER do and still think 'why the hell did I do that?'

My darling DH didn't even moan at me (much) even after an hour of phone calls .

Another horse owner here. Hope yours is ok cryinglaughing? I’m just back from checking mine and skipping out etc. There was a storm here last night and they have a new voluntarily “in or out” arrangement. So just wanted to check that they had made a sensible choice! 😀

I'd be annoyed if I was your DH, up early to have a brew in peace but then everyone has to wake up and ruin the calm 😅

I'm awake because the cat has decided it's time for me to feed him and also because I need about 12 wees an hour being 30 weeks preggers

I’m awake as we have a border collie who wakes up at 6 am everyday, he doesn’t need to go out, just barks a few times to let us know he’s awake, so DH has made tea and is now taking dog out for a walk, I will walk him before lunch.

Wait so it has totally been his routine for ages to be up and having his coffee at this time seeing as the children have been up usually this time for an hour?

I’m up because I’m going out for the day to do my hobby. I’ve made a coffee and have taken dh one in bed but have managed to not wake the kids despite our coffee machine sounding like a tractor!

I woke up at 5 mostly bacause was out last night and drank red wine…..woken up feeling urgh. But had a nice evening…..

Do you all sleep in the kitchen or something? I don't think anyone should be frightened of making a brew. It's a normal thing to do when people get up. And your kids are normally awake at that time.

I'm awake because I'm heading out to the gym shortly.

I’m awake because I’m pregnant and the pulling/stretching pains are in full force this morning.

Also woke up loaded with a cold. Not having a good start to a Sunday!
