At a pay by phone car park.

I accidentally clicked the wrong reg number. So not the car was in but my friends car by accident.

I have received a £100 fine in the post.

Would my appeal be likely to be accepted? If I say it was literally my sausage fingers? Anyone had this happen?

You can try. Dh was successful as the number input was one digit out and no car of that plate had parked there. There was due to be legislation about such but it got delayed indefinitely.

Yes, if it's euro car parks I've had this, they came back to me saying I'd broken the Teems and Conditions by not putting in the correct license plate but reduced it to £20. I could have appealed that but honestly couldn't be bothered so just paid the £20.

Which i didnt realise at the time, a month or so later i got a letter to say I had a fine ,with no explanation why.
I emailed them via the text receipt of payment ( always keep them on my phone)saying I paid etc.
They explained I had put zero in rather than letter O, but they said they would overlook it this time.
