To move to more expensive seats?

So tonight we are going to a gig
We have just bought really cheap resale tickets for £12 each
They are close to the back but for that price we aren't fussed
There's hundreds of seats free still (the band are a older pop band )
So aibu to move to a better seat if it's available and nobody is checking tickets ?
Or would you just sit in the seat you purchased ?
Tbh the arena isn't one of the biggest so we can still see

I would. I went to a theatre show a few months ago and on entrance I was told by the staff that there was quite a few empty seats so I was welcome to move forward to row D/E, but to just be aware of people entering and move if I was in someones seat.

They'll probably move you forward anyway.

I went to a Beyoncé gig a few years ago and they hadn't sold out the VIP bit right at the front so they upgraded the first 300 people in the cheap seats (I was one of them) and put them in there. I've had this happen in theatres too.

They want the front full, not people sprinkled all around, it's better for atmosphere etc.

And there's loads of seats in block A and B C empty as well as the front top blocks

Yes, we've been moved forward in a theatre, as it's better for those performing to have the audience closer to them and the empty seats are not so obvious.
