Adult DS is autistic and has learning difficulties. He always enjoyed Halloween and loves to get dressed up for it. Wanted to carry on trick or treating long after he was too old!
He has had masks for the last few years which he wore at home but this year he wanted a Michael Myers costume together with a replica of the massive butchers knife. I got him the costume as he is going to a Halloween event where dress up is appropriate but have refused to get the knife as I’m worried he may take it out of the house afterwards and someone may think it’s real. It’s coated in metal so it looks realistic. I said I’d make him one from tinfoil and cardboard 🤣
He thinks I’m being totally ridiculous but I feel it is my duty to prevent any issues that may arise. We had an issue previously where it was reported by another student that he’d taken an axe into school which was actually a foam one. School was on lock down and there was mass panic!
Who’s BU? Me or him?
