A global peace movement

All I am seeing are decisive threads that keep getting deleted. All I am also seeing, and reading in the news, are heartbreaking accounts and images. I don’t have the answers, no one does. Where money and power are in play, there are no easy answers, perhaps we are on our way to world devastation. A terrifying thought, but a thought that has played in many of our minds. As I see it, the only way forward is a peace movement, a global peace movement. I have no political or religious allegiance, just an allegiance to all the innocents on both sides. It would take one hell of a U-turn from political parties, and a U-turn we realistically know they won’t take, without some sort of extraordinary turn of events. I can’t help thinking that this is the only way we have a chance at saving humanity.

@Theemeperorsnewclothes the "I'm 14 and this is deep" poster was mocking, I'm afraid. It's a page on reddit where people cringe at posts by young people just discovering the basics of the world and thinking they're all profound for having these 'deep' realisations. That's what the comment was referencing.
I've laughed at that page myself, I mean teenagers are peak cringe a lot of the time, but I think it's a bit unkind to post that here when you're an well intentioned adult.
It's a pity any attempt at conversations around peace have to be dowsed in cynicism, as though to be hopeful or naive is a terrible thing deserving of ridicule.

I didn't know about that Reddit page.

I did detect a little sarcasm in the "I'm 14 and this is deep" comment though and did wonder!

As I said upthread, I am not always great with the old sarcasm myself.

There are many peace movements all over the world but they are usually associated with spiritual practice and working to practice peace in your own life. There cannot be global peace until there is individual peace.

Nirvana - the extinguishing of self.

Also a one world Govt would also help massively with having earth and by extension the "federation of planets" under one govt as it could help earth and humanity achieve peace, while at the same time having Earth and its colonies be equipped for war in the galaxies.

Let’s wait until we find ET. We can gather together if a common enemy appears.

Until then, World Govt would target and enslave you and me and all of us here.

ET didn't like it here. He asked to go home.

“There is no money or power in peace and some humans are always going to want both.”

This is sadly very true.
That’s not true at all. All the richest people in the world are people with businesses, plenty of money, and not blowing people up. Wars are for unintelligent men incapable of anything meaningful.

@Freshstart78 I wish that was true as it would make winning any war pretty easy. Unfortunately it is all to do with money and power. You might not ‘see’ them “blowing people up” but they have their finger on the button.

Thank you. No one deserves to be ridiculed at any time, but particularly in these awful times. It is a sad reflection of the times that we are living in.

I am 14 and this is deep....

I have a deep dislike for people who masquerade as children. I’ll see if I can find you on Reddit
