11 year olds home alone for?

DS begins secondary school next year. He's been enjoying being left at home for short periods (an hour or under), and would happily be left for longer. He watches tv or plays his xbox, can easily grab a snack, knows not to answer the door, has a phone and is relatively sensible. There's a situation coming up where he could either come with me, or stay at home for around 2 hours, but I'm not sure I'm ready for that. Would be interested to hear what you all do!

Two hours at eleven is completely fine.

It's fine.

My DS was left home alone for 2 hours between me going to work and his dad coming back, 1-3 times a week. He's the most sensible of my 3 kids (2 much older). He knew what to do in an emergency and who to call.

yeah i think 2 hours is reasonable. anything more i think is a bit too long but that's maybe just me, i know my
daughter would be bored and the snooping would start and i'd have no more food left in the kitchen if it was later lol x
