Ikeas 10 year warranty

I purchased a sofa from ikea and they come with a 10 year warranty. IKEA claim the seats are durable and have been tested 50,000 times with a weight of 100kg.

So imagine my shock after 2 years when the chase sofa has collapsed cushions.

Apparently ikea and everyone else are saying it's "wear and tear".

Not ikea but my new sofa has a fantastic guarantee…until you read the small print that says all seat and back cushions must be turned each day.
I envisioned doing it every day and videoing the process so, when I eventually took them to court for not honouring the guarantee, I would have a ‘Aha! Got you!’ moment.
In reality they get turned when I’m practically sitting at a slope because the side I favour has squished too much.

I imagine ikea say theirs have to be shook/fluffed/turned each day or something too to get out of it do they?

I’d always assumed that kind of guarantee wasn’t worth the paper it was written on and it was really just sales “puff”.

I wouldn't expect cushions to be included in a guarantee like that. The frame and structure yes but not cushions.

I don't know what's defined as wear and tear , and what's expected for a 10 year warranty etc.

I've asked via my legal insurance and they have been dismissive - so I've asked them to define what's west and tear, how it's determined and why I wouldn't expect my sofa to last 50,000 sittings lol. lol

I wouldn't mind so much but i can't buy the seat cushion separate I don't think.
