To wonder why he keeps doing this

I have been seeing somebody for around 9 months. All of a sudden he goes really quiet on me and stops responding to my messages and doesn’t come and see me and then he comes back acting like nothing happened. It’s happened quite a few times now. I decided not to let it happen and stopped replying and he seems annoyed at me now for doing exactly what he does to me

You are now both playing games which is not ideal in a relationship. Tell him it makes you feel shit when he does that. If he can’t have an adult conversation about it or denies what you KNOW is true then cut him loose.

Are you both exclusive? If not, then he may be seeing other people. If you are then he has issues with closeness and needs space/time apart

Because he's got a life going on that he doesn't want you to be a part of. When you do meet up are you going out? Planning holidays etc?
