To be worried that he hasn’t read my message

I replied to my DPs message 9 hours ago and he still hasn’t read it. We don’t live together but we do keep in contact regularly and I’ve not seen him this weekend so we were catching up via text message then all of a sudden he stopped responding and still hasn’t opened the message. Aibu to be worried?

Could he not be out with friends?

TurnerP · 16/10/2023 00:40

Fallen asleep while charging phone hopefully

strawberryblue · 16/10/2023 00:40

He could have left his phone somewhere or fallen asleep? Does he live alone?

HerMammy · 16/10/2023 00:42

Do you know his plans for the day? maybe call a friend who can check on him?

Lulu1997 · 16/10/2023 00:46

He does live alone. I’m worried as a couple of weeks ago he told me he was feeling quite down and anxious and he says he always does at this time of the year. I’m not sure what he had planned for today as that was what I was messaging him to ask but he usually messages me when he’s out if I’m not seeing him, so it’s quite unusual that he hasn’t got back to me

He did go out Saturday night though so maybe he is just sleeping it off hopefully

Go over to his place in the morning if you're worried. I hope he's ok
