To find Aldi / Lild fruit a bit shit?

Anyone else have this problem?
I have 4 Aldi / lidl around me within good distance and I alternate between them as they're varying in store sizes but I find their fruit (and sometimes veg) shite!

Strawberries i bought home last week, decanted them to wash and put in fruit pots for the week and they were mouldy (2 large punnets) and had to Chuck them all away. Same with their raspberries and their grapes were soft and avocados brown / crunchy to press down on the skin.

Their veg is okay. Carrots a touch sweaty but onions / cabbage / muchrooms are all fine. I find their fresh herbs a bit shit too.

Today I went to a large Asian supermarket nearby for the first time and my goodness their fruit is incredible! Same prices as probably Tesco but the quality is amazing. Massive dark fruit dragon fruits, grapes were lots per weight / value, bought so many fruits that we can't get in our supermarkets. Pakistani mangoes, aloe Vera, so much more.

Will be getting all fruit and veg from there now.

Does anyone else think aldi / Lidl fruit totally shite or AIBU?

Yes, especially their berries and broccoli- always looks fine then covered in mould 2 days later.

Aldi is the worst everyone complains about it. Lidl isn't to bad

I find it all so variable by supermarket, by product and by timing. I've had amazing cod from lidl and inedible from Waitrose, strawberries that don't last a day from lidl and a carrot that didn't last a day from Waitrose !
Durian isn't that bad, like a banana with a slight sewage-y aftertaste

No I buy all my fruit and veg from Aldi and it's fine. I mean I wouldn't buy tons of fruit and expect it to last a long time, but I just buy what I need for the next few days and it's perfectly fine.

I bought a lemon last week (lidl), and it went mouldy within a couple of days.
Glad that I didn't buy a packet of 4.

Really only buy fruit that I'm going to eat straight away in either.

I don't buy fruit and veg from either anymore, it often went mouldy or if I was buying something more expensive such as prepared mango or melon the hard edges are still on, if I am buying expensive fruit I would rather pay more and get good quality.

Alll fruit is awful at the minute.Doesn't seem to matter where it is from.

I've found that a lot of supermarkets are over-chilling their soft fruit, I've had strawberries that feel as though they.ve been frozen, they feel slimy.
