For being really annoyed that ASOS use evri?

I've had THREE parcels from Evri go missing since September.

Ordered a coat from ASOS and decided to sign up to their yearly next day delivery service for 9.99 as I needed the coat today so would have paid 7.99 for next day delivery anyways.

So paid that, and get an email from Evri this morning that they have my parcel and will let me know when it's out for delivery.

There's not a cat in hells chance it's going to show up today, so what exactly is the point of next day delivery?!

I'm leaving tomorrow morning and am stuck now with deciding whether to go and try and find a coat in the shops and risk missing a delivery that's not been updated or waiting in and possibly not having a coat all week.

(am going way and just got my winter coat out of storage yesterday and it's too small 😭) hence the emergency order.

I just wish companies would stop using them as they're SHIT and they're just making false promises with NDD with evri, it just won't happen!

Still not moved or out for delivery today.
It's lost. I know it

On the basis that you paid for specific day delivery and your contract is with the company you paid, it is their responsibility to get you your parcel and compensate you by refunding the delivery fee. I had an awful time with several parcels that Next insisted on sending via Evri.

I went on Twitter every time and got gift vouchers every time Evri didn’t turn up, so by the time my stuff finally arrived it was free.

ReturnOfTheRainMac · 16/10/2023 13:26

My contact lenses get delivered by EVRI. Never a problem. But if it's something even slightly popular such as clothing/trainers it's a 50/50 chance we will get it. It's not always the courier either, they usually are great. It's also the people in the warehouses at either end. Add Christmas on to that and there's no chance - be that from a rush they can't handle it light fingers, I'm not sure.

You don't "know it" - you're just (understandably) pissed off because your item didn't arrive on time. It will likely turn up in a day or so.

You can get a refund on your delivery charge if you contact ASOS. Don't try and get in touch with EVRI because your contract isn't with them.

I had great experiences when Evri was DPD, I would always get a text with the 1 hr time slot, it almost always came within it and the driver was very good at knocking.

Under Evri I've had multiple issues in the last few months. Once my parcel was due for delivery the next day, then it randomly changed to 'delivered' that evening when there was no delivery attempted.
Then twice they have put it through my neighbours door while i've been home and my neighbour claimed not to have received it even though there it a photo of it being put through the letterbox!

MassageForLife · 16/10/2023 15:18

I know that they have a really bad reputation, and that my experience is the exception - but I bloody love my Evri courier! She's awesome. She knows when I get home from work, so if she can, she'll go to other deliveries first so that I'm home when she arrives. She has handed me my parcel out of her van window before, because she was just leaving as I arrived.

She's absolutely brilliant and I hope she never leaves!

Soooo the tracking hasn't moved.

So I talked to ASOS who said Evri tried to deliver it yesterday!.. They absolutely did NOT.
I was here all day waiting

My tracking doenst say anything about this, it just says at depot. The next stop is 'out for delivery' which just hasn't happened yet.

I'm getting so annoyed :(

Evri has never been DPD - do you mean Hermes?

HerMammy · 16/10/2023 17:09

Asos are clearly giving you wrong information, at depot means it's not been out for delivery yet.

LikeABanana · 16/10/2023 18:05

Contacted Evri but can't speak to a human.

Robot says it should be delivered today but not been allocated a delivery slot yet.
No shit Sherlock, it's 6pm 🙄

Its been bloody freezing today 😂😭

Agreed this sounds completely like an asos issue and not Evri's fault at all. How would they even know they tried to deliver it yesterday given they'd be using the same tracking as you. Hmm

It sounds like Asos hadn't even got it to Evri yesterday.

AtLeastThreeDrinks · 16/10/2023 18:49

OP I’ve had the exact same – ordered a coat from ASOS with next-day delivery, it said it would arrive between 7-10pm Sunday. No sign of it yesterday or today. The Evri tracking just says “we’re waiting for your parcel”. It’s a really shit service – we’ve also paid for the annual NDD but what’s the point?! And for those saying you shouldn’t expect Sunday delivery, of course you should! It’s an offered service and once you’re paying for.

Evri have it. They emailed me Sunday morning saying ' we have your parcel, we'll let you know when it's out for delivery '

I've asked to cancel the Asos premier and get a refund of the 9.99.

Absolutely no point in it at all. Tomorrow is the day the 'free' delivery option would have arrived.

that means Evri haven't received it from asos yet, just that asos have booked it with evri. That's an issue for asos, evri can't deliver a parcel they haven't received

AtLeastThreeDrinks · 17/10/2023 07:00

@HerMammy oh yes I meant a bad service in general – I guess ASOS takes the fall there! But I wonder how long Evri will hold onto it for. They don’t have a great track record for deliveries around here.

I didn't ask for it, it was advertised.

How exactly am I pushing it ordering a service that they offer for a more expensive price? Standard delivery is free, next day, Sunday delivery, 7.99.

Theyre charging for that higher service.

Are you always this quick to anger?

The poster didn’t mean you’re pushing it asking for a service you pay for, she meant expecting any company to deliver next day on a Sunday is likely to lead to disappointment.

If you read your t&cs on your delivery pass, next day delivery is likely not guaranteed.

Very odd that that you read 'anger' from that 🤔

It was a statement, no capitals to indicate shouting, no name calling, no over emotion.

Am genuinely curious where you see anger in that paragraph.

You must have great trouble reading books.

OP posts:

You went on and on about it in multiple posts, clearly you were angered.

And now you resort to personal insults.

You’re not covering yourself in glory here, OP.

It’s just a coat. Look at what’s happening in Gaza.
