...to expect that if someone on ebay advertises next day delivery, it should at least arrive within the week

I mean, they must realise that it would be a factor in choosing between several people selling the same thing? It's a sling (not bloody cheap either) and I'm desperate to put my velcro baby into it so I can actually have some breakfast/load dishwasher/put washing on etc.

If I wanted to wait I would have ordered from elsewhere. Hrumph!

It's a scam. I had a big dispute on ebay over this. They charge you for next day delivery and then send it the cheapest slowest way and pocket the difference.

When you order from ebay look back over their feedback - not just the totals which can be deceiving. For this seller you may find they do this frequently.

This is a total PITA. No, YANBU.

However I have been very very frustrated as a seller on ebay. I have very detailed terms and conditions for precisely this reason and I think it protects both me and the buyer. I quite clearly say I will only post on certain days (when ds1 is in nursery) and then people write AFTER the auction has closed telling me they need it in a couple of days time. AND after they have paid for 2nd class post and not the options for 1st class or special delivery that I provide if people want it sooner! GGGRRRRRRRR!!!
