Has anyone had an eBay refund recently?

What does it show as on your bank account? I think my ex is failing to declare his income by saying income to his bank account (totalling a grand at least) are refunds from eBay but it's not showing as an eBay refund on the bank statements

I still pay by PayPal mostly so a refund shows up as ‘PayPal *ebay’.
What could he possibly buy that adds up to £1,000 that then needs refunding? Nobody makes that many unsatisfactory purchases.
HMRC would ask for bank statements if they investigated his earnings, so it would be foolish to have wages paid in but not declare it.

Had a few all same format eg 'EBAY O*25-0'

@AprilMayBeJune that's exactly what I thought. Also no corresponding outgoings of the same amount.

Yeah I had one go through today and it came up EBAY *@>÷^=>×,×> etc.
