Posting to see if anyone else is in my shoes 😂😂 more of a I want to hear your stories rather than a me problem 😂 long time poster but NC for this.

I am in love with someone who I went to school with 15 years ago for 1 year. We have not seen each other since we left and we live 500 miles away opposite ends of the UK now. I'm in Scotland and he's in Cornwall. We on off speak, flirting and banter etc, we've spoken about meeting up but he always has excuses or goes quiet if I'm near there or he's near here, so I know it'll never happen. We're both single too.

I've often had crushes on people who were unobtainable. The best thing to do is to avoid the person, minimise contact and stop yourself if you start thinking about them.

Starting threads about them online will not help you, OP.

Maybe just come out and tell him how you feel? At least that way you'll know one way or the other. And if it doesn't go the way you'd like, at least you won't risk bumping in to him. If he doesn't feel the same, I'd cut all contact.

The only reason we are not together is he was such a bad person! He absolutely physically and mentally destroyed me, I understand trauma bond but I just miss it and I miss him he doesn't see our child it makes me so sad I really didn't think he would be that person.
