Line pushing

So ds was at a birthday party yesterday and was waiting in line for a while for balloon models. Two other children physically pushed in front of him, pushing him while doing so. Ds started to get upset so waited to see if parents said anything they didn't. So I went up told the other children not to push in front and wait for turn, then put ds back in original space in cue. When walked back to where sitting, one of the parents gave me a death stare. Aibu for doing this?

I would (and have) don't the same thing. IMO, it's good for your child to see you challenging unkind/unfair behaviour.

YANBU at all. Maybe the other parent didn't see what happened so assumed you were the one being rude 🤷. But they should've been watching their child, and they should have stepped in if they'd seen it happen.

The parents should have kept an eye on their kids and let their kids know that they shouldn't push.
