I’ve been biten near end of august. Was a little red dot, we went to American and it was itching there so I itched it made it worse came home and I tried all sorts then it’s become swollen and like a disc lump underneath. Doctors put me on antibiotics been this is day 3 of antibiotics it’s 7 day course but it’s still itching around it and it’s driving me insane I bet it’s size of a penny.

photos this was at its worse. Second is now. He said take antihistamines and antiboitics and can apply ice but idk what bit me I don’t usually get bitten but like I said I did itch it a lot 🫣 help

have you been told you can use something like eurax (anti itch cream). This is the only thing that saved me when I had a horrible series of bites which I scratched and scratched until they were much bigger and wouldn’t go away. Not half as bad as yours though! I guess what I would do is persevere with the full course of antibiotics but get another doctor appt booked in to coincide with the final day so you can discuss next steps if they’re needed.

Scratching it won’t have helped, but it looks like there is something in there.

You’re not even halfway through your ABs, so take the whole course and see what happens, but I’d be back to see a doctor if not better in the new day.

You might want to post on Sponers Corner. Lots of knowledge peeps over there who love this sort of thing.

Yeah post in 'sporners corner'!

Ice will help take the itch away. Local pharmacy will be able to advise on a number of creams that will help with the itching.

Looks like a spider bite, they can itch for ages, they can also take an age to heal, good that you are on antibiotics, but keep an eye on it, and go back to your gp if it gets any worse. You might find thin slices of cucumber help with the itching. There used to be a really good big anti-itch patch by jungle formula, but I don't think they do the same ones any more. I'd be hesitant to put creams/ ointments on it if its weeping, but you could ask the pharmacist.
