I use to consider myself to be a lucky person. I had a fairly average life but things would always work out. So say the washing machine broke, I'd get some tax back that would cover it. Or car would breakdown but it would be something fairly cheap. I'd lose a fiver find a tenner, that sort of thing.

When I met my dh I fell deeply in love and considered myself very lucky to have met him. How ever since then my good luck has gone bad. Since I met him-
4 close family members have died
3 people close to me have been diagnosed with life Changing conditions
I have struggled financially
We had a house fire
Our dog is hard work
Our child is challenging
2 cars have died
Numerous appliances have broken down
Pretty much every time a night out is planned I get ill and can't go.

Do you believe luck can change?

I think it goes in phases - periods of good luck followed by bad, but it's more like random - we just dread more going wrong and focus on bad stuff rather than everyday good things.

I think it helps to try and register things that are good. A positive outlook, if you will.
