End of...

It seems so rude to me when people end their post with 'end of'. Like they are so very self important, and only what they say matters. More and more people seem to be doing it on here.

The one that gets me is "......here". People say it as if it makes them a complete expert on whatever is being discussed.
"Nursery worker here, its really important that...."
"Garden centre employee here, you should always..."

Completely irrational I know, but bothers me nonetheless 🤐

Annoys me when people set out their posts like a poem, with the lines all different lengths.

Scarlettpixie · 06/10/2023 13:43

I hate it when people stick 'just sayin' on the end.

urgh. Seriously urgh.

What i really can't stand is "blah blah blah - hear me out" 26 pages of text.

nope. Give me the tl;dr or fuck off

I've just been "End of-ed" on another thread. Made me laugh, I thought "Na I don't fancy shutting up because you've tried to tell me to" 🤣

StTropezTan · 06/10/2023 13:50

“So, now you’re an expert then?”

No, I never said I was, but I can still have an opinion.

Great thread btw, I thought it was just me who had these little dislikes.

“Sense check”
“hi guys, I’ve just bought 2000 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets for my super king size bed that was handmade in Nepal by craftsmen out of tmalamala wood, I’ve bought and arranged seven brand new goose down pillows too with soft linen pillow cases and a put a throw on the end made from cashmere and hand dyed with pastel shades….. talking to my friend on the phone and she just said it sounds a bit too luxe….. can I just get a sense check here? Does this sound cosy and comfortable to you or is it just me?”

a) no your friend did not
b) just use your own brain

MangoAF · 06/10/2023 13:53

”large of nork”
”ample of thigh”

Using 'End Of' is proof that the poster couldn't argue their way out of a paper bag and is trying to dodge debate.

Totally agree. They just make themselves look stupid.

JaneJeffer · 06/10/2023 14:26

You do realise

🤬

Morechocmorechoc · 06/10/2023 18:41

I'm glad I'm not alone in my thoughts here, thanks everyone. To the poster who said I must post things that annoy people, you're wrong, end of!!!!!

Haha this grates on me too.

I also dislike "Dear reader," which just makes me internally cringe .
