to remind everyone we can edit now?

Shamelessly posting here for traffic - and to raise awareness

Thank you MN for finally giving us this great option to correct basic typos, missing words etc to clarify meaning.

But there are lots of people who don’t seem to know about this - I’m guessing maybe longtime or occasional users? - and we still have many posts with just one word corrections

I’m pointing it out because I’m a bit pedantic so I’m hoping more people will use this edit function but I’m also curious - had you noticed?

YABU - I know the feature is there
YANBU - Hadn’t noticed we can edit now

I far prefer the continued use of "one word correction posts" to people shoehorning stuff into AIBU "for traffic"

If you click on the three dots at top right of your post, can you see the edit function in the list there?

Sometimes I cba to edit a typo and other times I don’t notice before it’s timed out

The random words for the mistakes still been posted are very annoying, even worse is they try to correct the word further down and spell it wrong again so lots of random words. What's more worse is I can't read the edited posts as the writing is too small and I end up zooming in and have to put my phone on landscape. I just feel like drinking some days.

True, I do love a good auto-correct myself

Just finding that I get irritated when someone makes a very obvious change eg/ inserting a ‘not’ that had been missed when the whole context of the post was clear already.
I wish they would either leave it alone (because the meaning was understood) or edit the original. But please don’t post * oops, meant ‘not’ several messages down the page!

I’m sorry for being petty/ pedantic - but I do genuinely think many people don’t know about this option because it’s hidden away with the 3 dots, and not visible on the posting screen

I use the app and can't be arsed to log on to the main page just to edit a post. Far too much effort for a web forum.

I don't like edited post as they come out in a smaller font which makes really hard to read so I don't bother

The irony is that edited posts look better on the app than on the platform where you can use the edit function!

I can't edit on my phone app, nor can I PM.

You can't edit on the app, I don't use the website as it's too cluttered
