Parcels - changing delivery date of.

If a courier gives me the option to change my delivery to another date AIBU to expect them not to deliver it on the original date?

Eg. Ordered something for Husband's birthday. Got notification it would arrive today. Tried to change it so it would come tomorrow when I know he is not in. Request was acknowledged but parcel has arrived (in branded box) so DH can guess what it is.

I am thinking not only of birthdays but of victims of domestic violence who may want their purchases delivered on certain dates.

Sounds like you've probably just been unlucky. Any time I've changed the date it's come on the new date. Nothings ever arrived on the original date once its been changed

I work shifts so change deliveries quite often

Just seems pointless to ask me if they aren't going to listen
