Massive red flag, if she takes something then what do you do from then? Call the police with only a first name. I suspect your house insurance might have an issue with that too.

Big red flag. Probably not declaring income and therefore probably tax & benefit fraud. Providing name and address is a legal requirement of someone who is in business/self employed.

Apart from the general dodginess, what do you do you if she collapses or has a heart attack in your house?

I always get emergency contact information as well from anyone who is regularly coming to work for me in case.

Oh god I've never got any details apart from a phone number for a cleaner. I see why you would want them now I think about it but I didn't realise it was a thing . Also how many cleaners do we think declare their income, out of interest? I guess if most on here think they all do that would explain all those who competitively over pay their cleaner
