Vinted - issue with a buyer

Wondering if this sounds a bit dodgy to you and advice for what I can do about it

recently sold a high value ish item (worth about £250 new). This buyer in particular was relentlessly haggling for a silly price, way below what I was happy with. I would normally ignore if they are particularly annoying but didn’t have much interest from anyone else and keen to get rid of the item. We finally agreed in a price and they bought it.

now a couple of days ago they got the item and sent me a picture saying there is a stain on it that I hadn’t included in the description. I included a different flaw on the item so feel like I would have noticed the stain. I also can’t see it on the pictures I took of it. They have taken a picture and sent it to me, and it seems very obvious.

they are now asking for a significant discount

are they being a bit shafty and trying to get it for much cheaper? I have a weird feeling about it

They're trying it on.

Tell them you can't bear the thought of them being unhappy with the item, and you'd never have sold a substandard item to someone, so they must send it back at once and you'll refund them (minus postage). They are sooo trying it on, if they were genuinely unhappy they'd be asking for their money back, not just a reduction and keeping the item.

yep - offer them a refund if they pay to return it. They won’t, because they are dishonest chancers.
