DC primary school have recently joined an Academy. They have introduced a new Behaviour Policy whereby children earn points for 'making good choices'. The children with the most points each week will be 'celebrated' during an assembly. Also, children will earn coloured badges which they will wear in school, according to how many points they have earned. This just doesn't sit very well with me. My DC are pretty good, so are likely to be among the higher scoring pupils, but it just makes me sad to think of little children walking around colour coded according to their behaviour. Is this a reasonable policy?
