Would never have considered eating one this early but now I’ve seen them I’m really craving one.

Sneaky little bastards aren’t they?

resisting for now

Get 'em down you girl!

(I may have had Panettone for breakfast every day this week).

Eminybob · 01/10/2023 19:05

Oh I nearly picked a pack up in Aldi today. They had iced ones.
No qualms about eating mince pies at this time of year though. The only thing that stopped me was knowing that I would be the only person in my house who would eat them and I'm already fat enough.

StoatofDisarray · 01/10/2023 19:06

IKR? I had to go to Oxford Street to return a faulty item to John Lewis today and there were Christmas lights all down the street :-(

HashtagShitShop · 01/10/2023 19:09

I've had a box already, I ate a couple whilst reading a Christmas magazine and a cup of tea 🎅

Iced mince pies are my downfall every Christmas Grin

BigGlenda · 01/10/2023 19:16

Oh I didn’t know about iced ones

going to be hard work not to eat Christmas food solidly through the autumn 😂

Parkin, bonfire toffee and pumpkin spiced latte cones first. I don't have Christmas food until December.

olderbutwiser · 01/10/2023 19:28

I've had two already. Would happily eat them every day all year.

I won’t lie, I’m a massive fan of Christmas pudding and in October I do sometimes buy a few of the small individual ones.

Orangeinmybluelightcup · 01/10/2023 19:30

Tesco here has huge freezer of turkeys!!!

Scarydinosaurs · 01/10/2023 19:31

I have had one already. It was delicious.

Eileen101 · 01/10/2023 19:32

Mince pies 😋 need to get my baking on, and then fill my freezer with stollen for the rest of the year 😋

Cramlington567 · 01/10/2023 19:45

It's all broadly autumn/winter food. Enjoy.

I buy loads after Xmas when half price or less and eat until March no problem.

Discomboobulated · 01/10/2023 19:46

I've had a few already. Since I got my air fryer I can heat them up and not use the oven. It's fatal

Tilllly · 01/10/2023 19:57

Hate them

mysparkleismissing · 01/10/2023 19:59

Very nearly acquired some today, for medicinal purposes! But then I'd have needed to go get cream too!

bugaboo218 · 01/10/2023 20:02

DH was stuffing his face with an all butter pastry mince pie earlier! He couldn't resist buying a box when he did the grocery shop!

I was so tempted, but once I start on the mince pies (and other lovely Christmas food) I cannot stop ! The iced mince pies are my downfall!

RoonilWazlib21 · 01/10/2023 20:03

What setting/how long in air frier? Asking for a friend of course...

RancidOldHag · 01/10/2023 20:03

It's too early both for mince pies...

.... and for Christmas threads outside the topic

Christmasusernamepending · 01/10/2023 20:21

Never too early to get in the spirit!

muddyford · 01/10/2023 20:22

Alongside hot cross buns!
